Zachery Ray Carlile, age 41, of Spiro, Oklahoma, departed this life on September 11, 2025. Born on December 24, 1983, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Zach was the beloved son of James and Jeanie Carlile. He will be remembered for his generous heart, kind demeanor, and playful nature.

He loved spending time with friends and family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He especially enjoyed working on cars, watching football and basketball, helping his dad and brother-in-law with building projects, cheering on his niece in all of her endeavors, and giving his nephews “horsey rides” on his shoulders.

Though Zach’s passing was unexpected, we hold fast to the promise of Scripture: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18). May that peace comfort us as we grieve and remember Zach with love.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Barbara Carlile and Virgil and Nellie Garner.

Zachery is survived by his parents James and Jeanie Carlile of Spiro, Oklahoma, his sister Taylor Stimac and husband Tony of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his niece, Tegan Stimac of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his two nephews, Treyven and Truett Stimac of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The Celebration of Life Remembrance Service for Zachery will be held 10am – Thursday, September 18, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma followed by a luncheon for family and close friends in The Cedars Celebration Room.

“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are

gray. You’ll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.”
