NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma baseball team has changed its schedule for the opening weekend of college baseball season due to the winter weather in the Norman area and the continued forecast for the region.
 
The Sooners will now play Wichita State in a three-game series at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 20-21. OU was slated to face Southern at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman in a series set for Friday through Sunday.
 
Oklahoma and Wichita State will play a doubleheader beginning at noon Saturday and a single game at 1 p.m. Sunday. Saturday’s doubleheader will be a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game while Sunday’s contest will be nine innings.
 
A radio broadcast of the games will be available on Sportstalk 1400 AM/99.3 FM in Norman and on the TuneIn app anywhere. Tickets for the series can be purchased at RRExpress.com. Dell Diamond is operating at a limited capacity to ensure proper distancing in the stadium.
