RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the baseball weekly award winners for the eighth week of the 2025 season. Henderson State’s Luke Farrar and Southern Arkansas’ Jack Roubik shared Player of the Week while Harding’s Maddox Long and Ouachita Baptist’s Chase Oberle split Pitcher of the Week.

#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Luke Farrar, 2B, Henderson State, Sr., Calhoun, Louisiana
Farrar hit .421 in helping the Reddies collect four wins – a midweek victory against Southern Arkansas and a sweep of Southern Nazarene. He homered, drove in two, and scored three runs against SAU. He hit his second home run of the week in the opener of the Crimson Storm series. He added four RBI. He scored twice in game two and went 2-for-4 in the finale.

#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jack Roubik, DH, Southern Arkansas, Sr., Edmond, Oklahoma
Roubik reached base 12 times in 17 plate appearances. After going 1-for-3 with a run scored against Henderson State, he went 6-for-9 in a sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State. He broke a 7-7 tie with an eighth-inning home run in game two of the series. He went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in game three.

#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Maddox Long, SP, Harding, Gr., Morrilton, Arkansas
Long improved to 7-1 and lowered his ERA to 0.67 as he registered his fourth start with zero runs allowed. Against Southeastern Oklahoma State, he gave up only three hits and issued just two walks. He tallied 10 strikeouts – his fourth double-digit performance of the season.

#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Chase Oberle, SP, Ouachita Baptist, Sr., Justin, Texas
Oberle turned in his best performance of the season after he shut down the league’s top offense, Oklahoma Baptist. On Friday, he held the Bison to just four singles across 8.0 innings of work. He struck out a season-high 10 in the 1-0 victory. The 10 strikeouts represented his most in a start since striking out 11 against Southeastern Oklahoma State on March 23, 2024.
