#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (WEEK FIVE)

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the baseball weekly award winners for the fifth week of the 2025 season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Braden Smith won Player of the Week and Harding’s Preston Tabor secured Pitcher of the Week.

#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Braden Smith, C, Oklahoma Baptist, Fr., Frisco, Texas
Smith went 6-for-16 with five extra-base hits – four home runs and a double – as the Bison collected three wins, including a GAC series win against Southwestern Oklahoma State. He hit two home runs and drove in four against Southeastern Oklahoma State. He hit two more home runs and tallied four RBI in game one against the Bulldogs. He added two more RBI in game two.

#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Preston Tabor, SP, Harding, Sr., Burleson, Texas
Tabor dominated Ouachita Baptist on Saturday as the Bisons ran their win streak to a school-record 14 games. He held the Tigers to one base runner – a first-inning single – in his 6.0 innings of work. He retired 15 straight batters across one stretch. He struck out 10 batters as he lowered his ERA to 1.35 and improved to 4-0.
