The Championship opens with fourth-seeded Harding playing fifth-seeded Ouachita Baptist. The Bisons claimed a series win against the Tigers in February and added a midweek victory on April 1.
In game two, No. 1 seed Arkansas Tech faces Southeastern Oklahoma State. For the first time since 2021, Arkansas Tech earned the top seed. The Wonder Boys won their final nine GAC games to secure the fourth GAC regular-season title in program history. Tech faces Southeastern Oklahoma State, who clinched the final tournament spot on Sunday. The Wonder Boys won two-of-three against the Savage Storm in mid-March.
The third game features No. 2 Southern Arkansas and No. 7 Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Rangers claimed a series win against the Muleriders, in Alva, in March. SAU owns a 20-7 record in GAC Championship games played at David Allen Ballpark. The Muleriders won GAC titles there in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2018. Traditionally, the Rangers play a non-conference game at David Allen Ballpark each season. This year, Northwestern beat Southern Nazarene, 7-2, on April 8.
Thursday’s slate concludes with Arkansas-Monticello, the 2024 GAC champions, taking on Henderson State. The Reddies won three of four against the Weevils this season, including the best-of-three GAC series in February.
