In a rematch of the final of the 2024 GAC Championships, the Crimson Storm (21-6), limited the Wonder Boys (12-17) to just 26.9 percent shooting in the first half and 35.8 percent for the game. Overall, Tech connected on only 3-of-17 3-point attempts.
Carrying a 28-20 lead at halftime, the Crimson Storm built their advantage up to as many as 19 points. They went 12-for-22 from the floor in the closing 20 minutes.
Jeremy Golson hit three second-half 3-point field goals as part of a 17-point performance. He finished 5-for-7 from the 3-point arc. He helped the Crimson Storm bench outscore the Wonder Boy bench by a 29-8 margin. Stevie Strong, a First-Team All-GAC performer, scored 11 of his 16 points in the second stanza. He added a game-high six assists.
Cassius Brooks led Tech with 15 points. Sean Cobb added 12 points and eight rebounds.
Southern Nazarene secured a repeat trip to the GAC Championship semifinals. They face the winner of Oklahoma Baptist and Henderson State at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Crimson Storm split their regular-season meetings with both potential opponents.
