#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Camron McDowell, G, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., Griffin, Georgia
McDowell, the third-leading scorer in all of college basketball, averaged 34.0 points per game in contests against Southern Nazarene and Southeastern Oklahoma State. After tallying 24 points and seven rebounds against the Crimson Storm, he scored a season-high 44 points – on 14-of-24 shooting, with six 3-pointers – in an overtime win against the Savage Storm.
#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hobert Grayson, F, Ouachita Baptist, Jr., Gonzales, Louisiana
Grayson helped the Tigers secure a top-two seed at the GAC Championships for the first time since 2015 after he averaged 23.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in wins against Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello. He made 17-of-31 shots from the field. He tallied a season-high seven steals against SAU. His 17 double-doubles rank fourth in Division II.
#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Wesley Booker, G, Harding, Sr., Mount Vernon, Arkansas
Booker averaged 8.0 rebounds, blocked five shots and recorded four steals across wins against Arkansas-Monticello and Henderson State. He matched a season high with four steals against UAM and tied his season high of four blocks against the Reddies. The Bisons defense held the Weevils to 36.5 percent shooting and the Reddies to 37.0 percent shooting.
