RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC men’s basketball players of the week for the fifth week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Terry Coner, Jr. claimed the Offensive Player of the Week award and the Bison’s Christian Hodge earned the Defensive Player of the Week accolade.

Coner helped the Bison improve to 9-1 after he shot 73.9 percent from the field in two wins. He went 10-for-12 from the floor en route to scoring 26 points against Southwestern Oklahoma State. He added six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Against Southeastern Oklahoma State, he scored 19 points and made 3-of-5 3-point field goals. He added five assists.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Christian Hodge, F, Oklahoma Baptist, Fr., Houston, Texas
Hodge tallied multiple steals in both of the Bison’s victories. He has six multiple-steal games in 10 games this season. He collected three, in addition to five rebounds, against Southwestern Oklahoma State. Against Southeastern Oklahoma State, he registered two steals, two blocks and three rebounds. His 1.9 steals per game rank fourth in the GAC.
