RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC men’s basketball players of the week for the first week of the season. Oklahoma Baptist’s Joshua Udoumoh earned the Offensive Player honor and Southern Nazarene’s Baron Bracey claimed the Defensive Player award.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Joshua Udoumoh, G, Oklahoma Baptist, Sr., Tulsa, Oklahoma
Udoumoh averaged 21.0 points on 72.7 percent shooting in helping the Bison defeat Northern State and Mary to start 2-0 for the first time since 2021-22. In the opener, he made 9-of-12 shots en route to 19 points. He grabbed five rebounds. Against Mary, he scored a team-high 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting. He added a game-high nine rebounds.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Baron Bracey, G, Southern Nazarene, Sr., San Diego, California
Bracey averaged a double-double as the Crimson Storm defeated Jamestown and Northern State as part of the GAC/NSIC Challenge. Against Jamestown, he pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. Against Northern State, he again recorded the most rebounds in the game after he tallied 10.
