Alexander averaged 31.0 points per game in the Rangers’ two MIAA/GAC Challenge contests. In a 90-86 victory against Northeastern State, he scored 34 points – 20 in the second half – as the Rangers overcame a 15-point second-half deficit. He went 9-for-19 from the floor. He followed up with 28 points and five rebounds against Central Oklahoma.
#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hobert Grayson, F, Ouachita Baptist, Jr.,Gonzalez, Louisiana
Grayson led the conference in rebounding for the opening weekend after he pulled down a game-high 11 against Rogers State and a team-leading eight in the Tigers’ five-point win against UAFS. He grabbed 16 of his 18 on the defensive end. He added two steals against the Lions.
