RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the men’s basketball players of the week for the tenth week of the 2024-25 season. Southern Nazarene’s Stevie Strong garnered Offensive Player of the Week and Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Kabeya Tshibangu earned Defensive Player of the Week.

#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Stevie Strong, G, Southern Nazarene, Sr., Kansas City, Missouri
Strong registered consecutive 30-point performances as the Crimson Storm defeated Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist. He scored a season-high 34 in a 25-point win against the Reddies. He followed up with 31 against the Tigers. In the two wins, he went 18-for-37, 11-for-23 on 3-point tries and 18-of-19 from the free-throw line. He added six steals against the Reddies.

#theGAC MEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kabeya Tshibangu, F, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., Justin, Texas
Tshibangu averaged 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals as the Rangers defeated Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas. He collected seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks against the Weevils. He followed up with eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals against the Muleriders. He has nine games with at least seven rebounds this season.
