RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week for the 14th week of the 2024-25 season. Southern Arkansas’ Tequaza Chambers won Offensive Player of the Week and Oklahoma Baptist’s  Sierra Copeland claimed Defensive Player of the Week.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tequaza Chambers, G, SAU, Sr., Plain Dealing, Louisiana
Chambers averaged at least 20.0 points per game for the fourth-straight week. She scored 16 in a win against rival Arkansas-Monticello. She added seven rebounds and four assists. She followed up with a game-high 26 against Harding. After averaging 10.3 points per game in her 16 games, she has averaged 21.8 points per game in her last eight contests.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sierra Copeland, F, Oklahoma Baptist, Sr., Howe, Texas
Copeland came up with seven steals and six blocks in contests against first-place Southern Nazarene and Northwestern Oklahoma State. Against the Crimson Storm, she tallied the 10th six-steal performance in the GAC this season. She blocked a season-high four shots in a win against the Rangers. The Bison secured a spot in the GAC Championships with the win.
