RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s basketball players of the week for the final week of the regular season. Henderson State’s Grayson Fairless claimed the Offensive Player of the Week accolade and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Landry Allen collected the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Against Arkansas Tech, Fairless established a career high in points when she tallied 37 on 12-of-16 shooting. She matched her career high in rebounds with 18. She helped the Reddies pull off a 14-point comeback against No. 14 Harding by contributing nine points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Landry Allen, F, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., Tuttle, Oklahoma
Allen capped her season by establishing the league’s single-season record for blocks. Her eight combined blocks against East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State gave her 119,  four more than the standard set by Southern Nazarene’s Hannah Giddey in 2023-24. She blocked at least five shots in 13 of SWOSU’s 27 games. Additionally, she averaged 7.5 rebounds.
