RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week for the closing week of the 2024-25 regular season. Harding’s Rory Geer claimed Offensive Player of the Week and Southern Nazarene’s Hannah Giddey earned Defensive Player of the Week.

Geer connected on 69.2 percent of her shots – 18-for-26 – and went 3-for-3 from the 3-point arc as the Lady Bisons defeated Arkansas-Monticello and Henderson State to secure the No. 2 seed. She opened with a season-high 24 points against the Blossoms and followed up with a fresh personal-best, 27 points, against the Reddies. She grabbed 10 rebounds against UAM.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hannah Giddey, F, Southern Nazarene, Gr., Melbourne, Australia
Giddey dominated at the defensive end of the Crimson Storm’s wins against Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southwestern Oklahoma State that clinched their third-straight regular-season title. She set season highs with 19 rebounds, seven blocks and four steals against the Rangers. She followed up 17 rebounds and five blocks against the Lady Bulldogs.
