RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week for the fifth week of the 2024-25 season. Southern Nazarene’s Hannah Giddey captured Offensive Player of the Week and Harding’s Sage Hawley earned Defensive Player of the Week.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hannah Giddey, F, Southern Nazarene, Gr., Melbourne, Australia
Giddey led the Crimson Storm in convincing victories against Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas. She opened with 15 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and two steals against the Blossoms. She followed up with 26 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and added six assists against the Muleriders. She went 20-for-33 from the field across the two wins.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sage Hawley, F, Harding, Sr., Memphis, Tennessee
Hawley averaged 10.0 rebounds in road wins against Southwestern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State. She finished with nine rebounds, three blocks and three steals against the Lady Bulldogs. She grabbed 11 rebounds against the Rangers and added two blocks and two steals.
