RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week for the third week of the 2024-25 season. Southern Nazarene’s Jena Bay garnered Offensive Player of the Week and Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Camille Thomas won Defensive Player of the Week.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jena Bay, G, Southern Nazarene, Jr., Shattuck, Oklahoma
Bay led the Crimson Storm in a 67-54 home win against Angelo State to close out the non-conference portion of their season. She equaled her career high with a game-high 23 points. She went 7-for-10 from the floor and connected on 2-of-3 from the 3-point arc. She added six rebounds, a steal and a block.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Camille Thomas, F, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Carollton, Texas
Thomas registered 13 rebounds, eight steals and two blocks as the Ranger split their final two non-conference games. She grabbed seven rebounds and three steals at Cameron. She followed up by matching her career high in steals with five against Friends. Her 2.3 steals per game rank sixth in the conference.
