RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week for the eighth week of the 2024-25 season. Southern Nazarene’s Hannah Giddey captured both the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Giddey registered consecutive 20-point games as the Crimson Storm split their contests against Harding and Arkansas Tech. She went 9-for-15 from the floor against the first-place Lady Bisons. She added six assists in the Crimson Storm’s fifth-straight win against the Golden Suns.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hannah Giddey, F, Southern Nazarene, Gr., Melbourne, Australia
Giddey averaged 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals against Harding and Arkansas Tech. She helped limit the Lady Bisons’ Sage Hawley to a season-low four points on 2-for-15 shooting. Her 15 rebounds against Tech represented a season high and gave her six double-doubles this season. With multiple blocks in both games, she has nine multiple-block games this season.
