RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week for the third week of the 2024-25 season. Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Caitlin Kobiske won Offensive Player of the Week and Southern Arkansas’ Marlee Bright earned Defensive Player of the Week.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Caitlin Kobiske, F, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Sr., Keller, Texas
Kobiske averaged 21.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in contests against Cameron and UAFS. She scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a nine-point road victory against the Aggies. She followed up with 20 points and nine rebounds against the Lions. She ranks second in the league in scoring at 19.2 points per game.

#theGAC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Marlee Bright, G, Southern Arkansas, Jr., Amity, Arkansas
Bright collected nine steals in the Muleriders’ non-conference contest against Delta State. Five of the steals came in the first quarter. She has multiple steals in all five games this season and she ranks as one of three players in all of the NCAA with multiple eight-steal games this season. Her 5.6 steals per game leads Division II and ranks second in all of the NCAA.
