RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference has selected Bryan Greenwood as the league’s Coordinator of Football Officials.
Greenwood serves as a replay communicator for the Southeastern Conference and is a regional coordinator of football officials for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
The Bastrop, Louisiana native previously served as an on-field official within the Great American, Sun Belt, and Gulf South Conferences. He founded the Louisiana High School Officials Association.
Greenwood attracted national attention as a guest speaker at the 2012, 2014, and 2016 National Association of Sports Officials summit events. He received NASO’s Great Call award in 2014.
“The quality of candidates the position attracted impressed our committee,” GAC commissioner Will Prewitt said. “However, Bryan’s attention to detail and focused plan to build the GAC football officiating program quickly rose to the top in our process.”
The Great American Conference comprises of 12 member schools across Arkansas and Oklahoma. Eight GAC football programs have qualified for postseason play over the past three seasons, capped by Harding University’s 2023 NCAA Division II national championship.
