#theGAC FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Andrew Miller, FB, Harding, Jr., Searcy, Arkansas
Miller secured the league’s rushing title after he ran for 203 yards in the Bisons’ 47-13 win at Arkansas Tech. He scored three second-half touchdowns. He registered his seventh 100-yard game and second 200-yard game. He finished with 1,363 yards, more than 300 yards clear of second place. His 19 rushing touchdowns rank third in Division II.
#theGAC FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Malcolm Murphy, DB, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Jr., Franklin, Tennessee
Murphy came up with three turnovers – two interceptions and a fumble recovery – as the Bulldogs defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State. His second-quarter interception came in the end zone to thwart a Ranger scoring chance. The win gave the Bulldogs their first winning season since 2015.
#theGAC FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Nick Parker, P, Ouachita Baptist, Fr., Jerilderie, Australia
Parker averaged 52.1 yards per punt on eight attempts in the Tigers’ game against Henderson State. Five of his eight punts went at least 50 yards. He had his longest punt of the season, 67 yards, in the game. Two of his punts finished inside the 20-yard line. He finished the regular season with the second-best punting average in the GAC, 41.8 yards per kick.
