Robards accounted for five touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ shutout victory against Northwestern Oklahoma State. He completed 13-of-25 passes for a season-high 285 yards. He threw a pair of touchdown passes in the first quarter and tacked on a third late in the game. He added a pair of short touchdown runs in the second half.
theGAC FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Darian Williams, DL, East Central, Sr., San Diego, California
Williams registered a career-best 15 tackles as the Tigers overcame a halftime deficit to score a 20-13 win against Southeastern Oklahoma. He came up with his first multiple-sack, multiple-tackle-for-loss performance of the season as he recorded three sacks in the first quarter alone.
#theGAC FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Brandon Perez, K, East Central, So., Crandall, Texas
Perez completed a perfect season kicking with two field goals and two extra points as the Tigers defeated the Savage Storm in the 107th edition of the Great American Classic. He made a 21-yard try in the second quarter. He connected on a 48-yard attempt in the third quarter. He wrapped up the season 10-for-10 on field goals and 19-for-19 on extra points.
