RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the football players of the week for the fourth week of the season. Arkansas-Monticello’s Tavion Faulk captured the Offensive Player of the Week honor, Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Zack Roberts earned the Defensive Player accolade and East Central’s Alexander McGregor won the Special Teams Player award.

#theGAC FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tavion Faulk, QB, Arkansas-Monticello, Jr., Carencro, Louisiana
Faulk guided the Weevils to a 31-24 road win against Arkansas Tech. He completed 21-of-35 passes for 390 yards and three touchdowns. He produced two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter as the Weevils scored the games’ final 15 points. He added two first-quarter touchdown passes, including an 85-yard connection with Drew Dronet.

#theGAC FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Zack Roberts, DB, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Newcastle, Oklahoma
Roberts registered a team-high 10 tackles in the Bulldogs’ 38-24 home win against Oklahoma Baptist. In the first quarter, he returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown. He added a pass break up and a tackle for loss. The Bulldogs have scored on defense in each of the last two weeks.

#theGAC FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Alexander McGregor, K, East Central, Fr., Prosper, Texas
McGregor converted all seven of his kicks – two field goals and five extra points – as the Tigers defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State, 41-20. He made a 35-yard field goal late in the first half. He added a 43-yard field goal in the third quarter. He improved to 5-for-6 on field-goal tries on the season.
