Cameron Public Schools hosted the 4th Annual LeFlore County Archery Tournament January 24, 2024. Archers from Arkoma, Cameron, Howe, LeFlore, and Shady Point competed for the highest scores. The new gymnasium/multi-purpose building was a perfect setting for the tournament. The ground level access gym floor was easily accessible and the raised theater seating was comfortable for spectators.
The Cameron high school and middle school archery teams won their 3rd straight county championships on January 24th at the 4th Annual LeFlore County Archery Tournament. The Howe high school and middle school archery teams were runners-up for the 3rd straight year. LeFlore placed 3rd in the high school division and Shady Point placed 3rd in the middle school division.

In addition to the top two team spots, Cameron and Howe each had the top archers of the tournament, both middle school students! 8th grader Lexi Burnett from Howe was the top overall female with a 283 and 8th grader Derek Lehman from Cameron was the overall male with a 287. (Pictured below).
Middle School Team Champions were Cameron with a combined score of 3196.
2nd Place was Howe with a combined score of 3140.
3rd Place was Shady Point with a combined score of 2876.

Champions were Cameron with a combined score of 3274.
2nd Place was Howe with a combined score of 3167.
3rd Place was LeFlore with a combined score of 2378.

Currently, the Cameron Yellowjackets are ranked 3rd and 5th in Oklahoma in the middle and high school divisions respectively and the Howe Lions are ranked 7th and 10th. Both schools are expected to compete in the Grand State Shoot (state bullseye tournament) in Tulsa on February 21st.
Arkoma, Shady Point, and LeFlore archers were not available for pictures.
