PALM CITY, Fla. – Stephen Campbell Jr. finished sixth and powered Oklahoma to its 10th consecutive top-five finish at a regular season event, as the Sooners grabbed fifth at the Valspar Collegiate Championship on Tuesday.

Oklahoma (5, E) got a pivotal birdie from Campbell Jr. on the tournament's final hole to move into fifth and get to even par for the week, extending the team's top-five streak and the Sooners' streak of under-par tournaments, which now stands at eight straight. Campbell Jr.'s 16 birdies ranked fourth at the event, four more than any other Sooner.

Campbell Jr. (T6, -4) posted OU's low round of the tournament in Tuesday's final round at Floridian National Golf Club, signing for a 6-under 65 at the par-71 track. The 65 saw the Richmond, Texas, product jump 21 spots on the leaderboard to secure his third top-10 finish of the season and eighth of his Oklahoma career.

Ben Lorenz (T25, +1) was in the hunt for a top-10 finish after carding 67-70 on Monday's 36-hole day, but a 77 (+6) on Tuesday dropped him to 25th as Oklahoma's second-best finisher.

True freshman Ryder Cowan tallied five birdies before a triple-bogey on his third-to-last hole gave him a 2-under 69 final-round score. Cowan finished tied for 46th at 5-over on the week.

Drew Goodman (T51, +6) and Jase Summy (T72, +11) finished outside the top 50 in the 86-player field.

As a team, the 14th-ranked Sooners posted the fourth-most birdies (57) in the field. The Sooners have now finished even or under par in all eight stroke-play events this season and at 16 of their last 17 tournaments dating back to last season, with the only exception being the 2023 NCAA Championships at Grayhawk GC.

The 15-team field featured 11 top-25 teams, and OU finished ahead of No. 1 North Carolina, No. 6 Alabama, No. 9 Texas Tech, No. 18 Texas and No. 23 Texas A&M. The 11th-ranked Florida State Seminoles won the tournament, posting an 833 (-19) to best runner-up No. 3 Vanderbilt (-15). FSU's Luke Clanton ran away with medalist honors, firing 65-68-66 to post a 199 (-14) and win by five shots.

The Sooners now look toward the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., the week leading into The Masters. OU plays in the event from April 6-7.
