RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Harding and Ouachita Baptist both hosted cross country meets over the weekend, with both tournament hosts taking first place on both men’s and women’s sides.

At the Bisons’ Steve Guymon Invitational in Searcy, Ark., five of the six top male finishers donned the black-and-bronze, led by week one’s GAC Runner of the Week Benson Lingokal with a 20:34.00 four-mile run, while the Lady Bisons occupied the top five individual spots, led by Dinah Winders.

At Ouachita’s Bob Gravett Invitational, the top 10 finishers were GAC runners, with seven of the top eight being Tigers. Southern Arkansas’ Joseph Uc was the top non-Ouachita finisher with a 15:43.2 5k.

On the women’s side, as with the men, seven of the top eight finishers were OBU runners while Henderson State’s Alexandra Montgomery took fifth at 18:52.6. Fellow Reddie Azul Garcia took ninth at 19:14.3 while Southern Arkansas’ top female was 10th-place Rylee Robinson with a 19:21.1 time.

Six men’s teams in total will be in action next weekend between Magnolia, Ark., and Joplin, Mo., as will eight women’s programs.

GAC CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS OF THE WEEK

Ouachita Baptist sophomore runner Caleb Greenwich took first at the Bob Gravett Invitational with a 5k time of 15:16.6 to take top honors. Greenwich carried a 4:55.0 pace across the finish line.

Lucy Holden | Ouachita Baptist | Sr. | Houston, Texas
Ouachita Baptist senior runner Lucy Holden paced the next closest runner by 13 seconds to top the podium at the Bob Gravett Invitational, crossing the finish line at 18:25.0. Holden ran a 5:55.6 average mile.
