SOONERS REMAIN TOP FIVE NATIONALLY

NORMAN – The Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team is ranked the No. 5 team in the nation with a 196.606 average after the first month of competition.

Florida remained at No. 1 with a 197.506 average, while LSU held No. 2 with a 197.008 average. Utah moved up to third at 197.000 and Arkansas jumped into the top five with a 196.775.

OU holds the No. 2 spot on bars (49.375), the No. 3 spot on vault (49.256), the No. 8 spot on floor (49.200) and No. 23 on beam (48.775).

Eight Sooners hold 11 individual rankings. Anastasia Webb leads the way with three top-10 rankings and four overall rankings. The senior is ranked seventh nationally on beam (9.912), eighth on floor (9.906), 10^th on vault (9.875) and 18^th in the all-around (39.294).
Three freshmen are ranked with Audrey Davis at No. 7 on bars (9.906), Audrey Lynn at No. 10 on vault (9.875) and Katherine LeVasseur at No. 15 on bars (9.881).

Senior Carly Woodard holds a top-10 ranking, coming in at No. 9 on beam (9.900). Fellow senior Evy Schoepfer also holds a top-10 ranking at No. 10 on vault (9.875). Senior Karrie Thomas moved into the top-25 rankings for the first time with a 9.862 average on bars, good for 25th. Sophomore Ragan Smith is ranked on floor at No. 18 with an average of 9.888.

The Sooners will kick off a month with three road trips when they travel to No. 8 Denver on Sunday, Feb. 7. The tri-meet will also feature Temple and is slated for a 3 p.m. CT start inside Hamilton Gymnasium.
