Peralta became the second-straight Bison lauded as the conference’s Player of the Year. He finished the regular season as the No. 3 golfer in the Central Region and ranked 25th nationally. He collected top 10s at The Mule, the NSU Men’s Classic and the Firekeeper Open. He won at the Shadow Valley Invitational by six shots. He broke par seven times during the season.
Kim gave Arkansas Tech six GAC Freshman of the Year winners in program history. He ranks ninth in the Central Region following a regular season that featured four top-five results. He scored the medalist honor at the Oldfield Classic in February. He took second at the Battle for the Belt and the Derrall Foreman Invitational. He added a fourth-place result at the Battle at Riverhill.
In his first season as the Reddies’ head coach, Ward guided Henderson State to a No. 3 ranking in the Central Region. The team earned victories at the NSU Men’s Classic and the Battle for the Belt. In nine tournaments, the Reddies finished outside the top six just once.
Peralta, Kim and Henderson State’s Maxime Lam made the All-GAC First Team with unanimous consent. Lam registered four top 10s and six top 20s in seven starts. He broke 70 three times and twice carded a 67.
Southern Arkansas’ Logan McDonald and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Jack Phillips filled out the First Team. McDonald, a two-time First-Team All-GAC honoree, recorded three top-10 finishes, highlighted by a win at the Arkansas Collegiate. Phillips notched six top-20 results during his freshman campaign. He won at the Tulsa Cup in October.
Two from Harding – Christian Lindgreen and Dennis Staykov – and the Henderson State pairing of Jacob Knowlton and Phillipp Pakosch claimed spots on the All-GAC Second Team. Southern Arkansas freshman Blane Burk rounded out the team.
The All-GAC Honorable Mention Team consisted of Tech’s Landon Lawson, Harding’s Jose Arzu, Henderson State’s Ethan Wilkins, Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Mathieu Zerwin and Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Jesse Rouse.
