Sajulga gave the Reddies four-straight GAC Players of the Year as she matched the feat of Gracen Blount, who won in both 2022 and 2023, and Allie Bianchi, last year’s recipient. She concluded the regular season as the Central Region’s top-ranked player. She won medalist honors at the Central Region Fall Preview, the Arkansas Collegiate and the Spring Regional Preview. She added a second-place showing at the Battle for the Belt.
Poizac became the third Reddie named GAC Freshman of the Year. She closed her spring with three consecutive top-10 finishes. In his first season at Henderson State, Ward guided the Reddies to four tournament wins – including their final three events of the spring – a top-25 national ranking and the No. 2 spot in the most recent Central Region rankings.
Led by Sajulga, all five members of the All-GAC First Team made the team as unanimous selections. Her teammate, Lily Nelson, made the team as did Harding’s Kmiecik, Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Freya Sala and Arkansas Tech’s Ellen Spigner. Nelson registered six top-10s and four top-three finishes. Kmiecik tallied five top-six results, including a runner-up showing at the Arkansas Collegiate. Sala did not finish outside the top 15 all season and won the Midwestern State Women’s Invitational in a playoff. Spigner notched four top 10s in her final five starts, including a win at the Patriot Invitational.
The All-GAC Second Team consisted of Arkansas-Monticello’s Shehna Akbary, Arkansas Tech’s Averi Mickelson, Harding’s Sydney Kincade, Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Romane Lacoste and SWOSU’s Drew Dodgion.
Poizac headlined the All-GAC Honorable Mention Team. Arkansas Tech’s Jaylee Castro, Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Agathe Lacoste, Harding’s Pilar Martinez and Oklahoma Baptist’s Morgan Simmons joined her on the team,
A total of 29 student-athletes placed on the GAC Academic Honor Roll award – Presented by Conway Regional Health System. Northwestern Oklahoma State landed eight on the list in Agathe and Romane Lacoste, Kentyn Clark, Kelsey Hoy-Pollard, Heather Hunkele, Amanda Lane, Tess Linden and Sofia McElroy. Harding’s Kincade, Cooper Meyer, Ines Sanchez and Madeleine Wilson earned the recognition as did Arkansas-Monticello’s Akbary, Robbi Jo Freeman and Ximena Paz; Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Carley Button, Karen Kim and Hope Walthall; Southern Nazarene’s Gracelynn Nickell, Lillian Savage and Haley Whittern, SWOSU’s Dodgion, Ashlyn Acosta and Lucia Rivas; Arkansas Tech’s Castro and Mickelson, Henderson State’s Nelson, Oklahoma Baptist’s Gimena Errecart and Southern Arkansas’ Aubrey Marx.
