At two events, the Loper Tune Up and the Nebraska Tune Up, he registered four provisional times in the 60-meter dash. At the Loper Tune Up, he ran a 6.77 in the preliminaries, followed by a personal-best and school-record 6.72 in the final. He took first in the event. At the Nebraska Tune Up, he posted a time of 6.78 seconds in the prelims and 6.77 seconds in winning the final.
#theGAC MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Vlad Malykhin, Jr., Harding, Shostka, Ukraine
Malykhin claimed second place in the pole vault at Notre Dame’s Alex Wilson Invitational. He matched the top clearing height of Indiana’s, Tyler Carrel, 5.38 meters – his second-best clearance of the indoor season. He maintains the top mark in Division II, 5.48 meters, set at the Pittsburg State Invitational.
