RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced its third GAC men’s indoor track & field athletes of the week winners. East Central captured both accolades as Kennedy Bett won the track award and Eddie Jennings earned the field honor.

#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Kennedy Bett, So., East Central, Kenya
Bett claimed the individual title in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:54.45 at the JD Martin Invite. Tiger runners claimed the top four spots. He edged out his teammate, Bhekizulu Khumalo, by less than four-tenths of the season. He owns the top time in the GAC.

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Eddie Jennings, So., East Central, Holdenville, Oklahoma
In the Tigers’ first meet of the season, Jennings registered a top-10 finish in the long jump at the JD Martin Invite. His top effort, 6.64 meters, came on his third attempt. His distance ranks as the sixth-best effort in the conference.
