#theGAC/MIAA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bastian Carlman, F, Fort Hays State, So., Staffanstorp, Sweden
Carlman netted three goals for the week to help Fort Hays State improve to 11-0-2 overall and 7-0-0 in the GAC. He scored in both the first half and second half of its 4-0 win against Newman. He gave the Tigers an early 3-0 lead in their 3-2 win against Northeastern State. Carlman owns a three-game goal-scoring streak and ranks second on the team with six goals.
#theGAC/MIAA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Oliver Wright, D, Fort Hays State, So., Kings Hill, England
Wright helped FHSU register its ninth shutout as a team for the season after he played 56 minutes in a 4-0 win against Newman. The defense gave up just two shots on goal. He scored twice in the game’s first seven minutes of the Tigers’ 3-2 win over Northeastern State. Both goals came on headers off throw-ins from Joseph Street. He has five goals in his last four games.
#theGAC/MIAA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Baptiste Auvray, D, Southern Nazarene, Gr., Nice, France
Auvray played 59 minutes in the Crimson Storm’s 4-2 home victory against Harding. In the 52nd minute, he gave the Crimson Storm a 3-1 advantage when he converted a rebound to score his first goal of the season. The goal came after the Bisons failed to clear a corner kick.
#theGAC/MIAA GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Isaac Murie, GK, Ouachita Baptist, So., Jacksonville, Florida
In his first two starts this season, Murie secured 13 saves in a win against Harding and a draw with No. 14 Rogers State. He made five saves against the Bisons and eight against the Hillcats. One of the two goals allowed came on a penalty kick. The Bisons and Hillcats outshot the Tigers by a combined 38-12 margin.
