RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the volleyball players of the week for the fourth week of the 2024 season. Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Lacy Mott won Offensive Player of the Week; Arkansas Tech’s Jamie Myrick and Harding’s Delaney Garner shared Defensive Player of the Week and East Central’s Julia Kabala claimed Setter of the Week.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lacy Mott, OH, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Waxahachie, Texas
Mott paced the GAC in kills, 4.40, and points per point 5.35, as the Bulldogs split GAC matches with Oklahoma Baptist and East Central. She registered 25 kills - one shy of a career high - hit .327 and added 15 digs in their five-set victory against the Bison. Against ECU, she followed up with 19 kills, 21 digs and four aces.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jamie Myrick, L, Arkansas Tech, Sr., Bentonville, Arkansas
Myrick helped the Golden Suns earn victories against Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas. Against the Blossoms, she came up with a career-high 29 digs. She added six service aces - four in the decisive fifth set. Against the Muleriders, she totaled 10 digs and three aces. SAU hit just .097 in the contest. Tech has started 3-0 in GAC play for the first time since 2021.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Delaney Garner, MB, Harding, Sr., Fishers, Indiana
Garner played a crucial role at the net as the Lady Bisons defeated Ouachita Baptist and Henderson to improve to 3-0 in league for the fifth-straight year. She tallied five blocks in a four set win against the Tigers. She blocked five more attempts in a sweep of the Reddies. She contributed to the Harding offense by notching 2.86 kills per set with a .356 attack percentage.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – Julia Kabala, S, East Central, Sr., Warsaw, Poland
Kabala and Tigers collected a pair of five-set wins. Against rival Southeastern Oklahoma State, she handed out a season-high 53 assists with 14 digs and scored the match-clinching kill. Against Southwestern Oklahoma State, the Tigers pulled off a reverse sweep and defeated the Bulldogs for the first time since 2021. She amassed 45 assists and a season-high 20 digs.
