RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s and men’s golfer of the week for the second week of the fall season. Harding’s Pilar Martinez claimed the women’s honor and Arkansas Tech’s Jacob Peetoom earned the men’s award.

Martinez helped the Lady Bisons place third at the NSU Women’s Golf Classic. Individually, she tied for fourth after she posted rounds of 3-over par 74 and 2-over 73. She made two back-nine birdies in the first round and three birdies in round two. She led the field in par-4 scoring at 4.00.

#theGAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jacob Peetoom, Jr., Arkansas Tech, Rogers, Arkansas
Peetoom tied for second at the Wonder Boys’ season-opening event, The Mule. He opened with an even-par round that featured three birdies. In the second round, he carded six birdies as part of a 3-under 67. He added three birdies in the final round, a 1-over 71. His par-4 scoring, 3.75, led the 104-player field.
