RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s golfer of the week for the opening week of the fall season. Henderson State’s Lily Nelson earned the distinction following her performance at the Central Region Preview.

Nelson carded consecutive rounds of 2-under par 70 to capture the individual title at the Central Region Fall Preview. She made three birdies against just one bogey in her opening round. On Wednesday, birdied five of her last 12 holes en route to a one-shot victory. Her nine birdies led the 90-player field.
