#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Tetiana Kharashchuk, Sr., Harding, Kolomiyia, Ukraine
At the Wooo Pig Classic, Kharashchuk turned in the fastest 400-meter time of the indoor season by a GAC runner after she posted a time of 54.77 seconds. She finished 15th overall, first among Division II runners. She achieved an NCAA Provisional with a time that ranks 11th nationally.
#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Altyn Bartley, Jr., Oklahoma Baptist, Dallas, Texas
Bartley won the weight throw event at the Bearcat Invite and broke her own school record in the event. On her final attempt of the event, she posted a distance of 18.69 meters to edge out Nebraska-Kearney’s Lily Novacek by one-tenth of a meter. She earned an NCAA provisional mark with 12th-best throw in Division II this season.
