RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s track & field athletes of the week for the opening week of the indoor season. Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Madison Rowe won the track athlete honor and Southern Arkansas’ Diamond Brunn earned the field athlete accolade.

#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Madison Rowe, Sr., Southeastern Oklahoma State, Arlington, Texas
At the Washburn Alumni Invitational, she recorded top-10 finishes in both the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter run. She broke her own school record in the 200 after she posted a time of 25.09 seconds. In the 400, she placed eighth with a time of 58.91 seconds.

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Diamond Brunn, Sr., Southern Arkansas, Killeen, Texas
Brunn set a new indoor program record in the long jump after she produced a mark of 5.73 meters at the Crimson & Gold Invitational. She finished second in the event, by just 0.02 meters, and earned a provisional mark. Her mark leads the GAC and ranks 21st in Division II.
