RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the seventh women’s track & field athletes of the week for the indoor season. Harding’s Tetiana Kharashchuk earned the Track award and the Lady Bisons’ Cadence Sansom captured the Field honor.

Kharashchuk turned in the second-fastest time in the GAC in the 400 meters after she registered a time of 55.05 seconds at the Alex Wilson Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. She took first after she defeated 15 Division I competitors. Her time, the second-best in Harding history, earned her an NCAA Provisional time. It ranks 18th nationally.

#theGAC WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Cadence Sansom, Jr., Harding, Lago Vista, Texas
Sansom cleared a height of 4.03 meters in the pole vault at the Alex Wilson Invitational, just two centimeters shy of the Harding record. She led the Lady Bisons to a 1-2 finish in the event. She secured an NCAA provisional mark with the 12th-best height in Division II.
