RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s track & field athletes of the week for the second week of the indoor season. Harding’s Jerlana Williams captured the track athlete award and Oklahoma Baptist’s Kiara Stallin won the field athlete honor.

At the Samford Invitational, Williams broke a 29-year-old Harding record by running 7.50 seconds in the 60-meter dash. She finished seventh in the event. Her time, an NCAA Provisional mark, ranks 13th in Division II. In the 200, she posted a time of 25.30 seconds and placed 14th. Her time ranks third in the conference.

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Kiara Stallin, Fr., Oklahoma Baptist, Tecumseh, Oklahoma
Stallin won the shot put and took third in the weight throw at the Owen Hewett Invitational. In the shot put, her winning distance, 13.37 meters, represented a personal best. Her throw ranks third in the GAC. She also established a personal record in the weight throw with a toss of 13.56 meters. She sits fifth in the conference in the event.
