#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Danika Womack, MF, Southern Nazarene, Fr., Fort Worth, Texas
Womack scored in both of her first two collegiate games. Against Midwestern State, she scored in the 73rd minute to draw the Crimson Tide to within one, 2-1, in a game they ultimately tied. Against Randall, she notched a hat trick after she scored in the 44th minute and twice in the 88th minute.
#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Julie Andersen, D, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Middelfart, Denmark
Andersen played 169 of 180 minutes as the Bulldogs opened with two shutout victories. Against Western Colorado, she contributed to the offense by converting a penalty kick in the 17th minute. The SWOSU defense surrendered just six shots on goal. Against Colorado Christian, she played the full 90 minutes and the Bulldog defense again gave up six shots on goal.
#theGAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Emma Young, GK, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Fr., Mansfield, Texas
In her first two career starts, Young registered consecutive shutouts as the Bulldogs opened 2-0 in non-conference play for the first time since 2012. Against Western Colorado she made six saves in the 2-0 win. In a 1-0 victory against Colorado Christian, she came up with five saves.
