#theGAC WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (WEEK SIX)

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s tennis player of the week for the sixth week of the 2025 season. Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Emilse Ruiz claimed the honor following an undefeated week of singles and doubles play.

Ruiz improved to 6-0 in both singles and doubles play as she picked up wins against McKendree and No. 7 Lubbock Christian. Against McKendree, she and Amishi Shukla earned a 6-2 No. 3 doubles win. In singles, she won in straight sets. Against the Lady Chaps, Ruiz and Shukla won 6-4. She added the Savage Storm’s lone singles win, 6-1, 6-2, from spot three.
