RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s tennis player of the week for the second week of the 2025 season. Harding’s Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz claimed the award after the Lady Bisons earned wins against Drury and Southwest Baptist.

Sarmiento Ruiz earned two singles and two doubles wins in Harding’s two victories. Against Drury, she paired with Madison Stafford for a 7-6  (7-5) win at No. 2 doubles. She won the opening match of her singles contest before her opponent retired. The duo won 6-2 at No. 2 against Southwest Baptist. She won her singles match in three sets.
