RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the sixth GAC women’s track & field athletes of the week recipients. Oklahoma Baptist’s Asia Foster earned the Track award and Harding’s Carly Tucker won the field honor.

#theGAC TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Asia Foster, Sr., Oklahoma Baptist, Bridgetown, Barbados
At the Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic, Foster took second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.22. The time, an NCAA Provisional mark, gave her the fastest time in the GAC and it ranks seventh in Division II. She ran the anchor leg of the Bison’s 4×400-meter relay team that placed fourth with an NCAA Provisional time of 3:44.12

#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Carly Tucker, So., Harding, Bullard, Texas
Tucker shattered a 37-year-old school record in the long jump, surpassing Letha Stewart’s 1989 mark of 18-07.00. Her leap of 19-00 (5.79m) made her the first woman in program history to reach 19 feet indoors. The mark secured an NCAA Provisional qualifying standard. Tucker also competed in high jump, the 600, and the 60-meter hurdles.
