RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC softball weekly awards for the 11th week of the season. Arkansas Tech’s Aubree Jones earned Player of the Week and Southern Arkansas’ Emma Duncan garnered Pitcher of the Week.

#theGAC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Aubree Jones, OF, Arkansas Tech, Fr., Richmond, Texas
Jones collected five extra-base hits – three home runs and two doubles – as the Golden Suns went 4-1. She went 3-for-4 with two home runs in a doubleheader sweep of Southwest Baptist. Against Southern Nazarene, she collected three hits and scored twice in game one. She hit her third home home run of the week in game two.

#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Emma Duncan, RHP, Southern Arkansas, Gr., Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Canada
Duncan improved to 20-2 and lowered her ERA to a GAC-leading 1.52 after she threw 12.0 scoreless frames in two outings against East Central. In game one, a 9-0 victory, she limited the Tigers to only one hit. She struck out five. In her second start, she struck out eight and did not walk a batter. The Muleriders won 7-0.
