Wells homered in all three of the Bison’s victories against Arkansas-Monticello. In game one, she opened the scoring of the 5-0 victory with a two-run home run in the fourth inning. In game two, she hit a three-run home run as part of a 10-5 win. In the finale, her two-run home run helped the Bison secure an 11-1 win. In the series, she hit .556 with a 1.667 slugging percentage.
#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Jaycee Shaffer, RHP, Oklahoma Baptist, Jr., Cyril, Oklahoma
Shaffer collected two wins against the Blossoms as she improved to 5-0 on the season. In her first appearance, she matched her season high with 12 strikeouts. She threw a five-hit shutout – her second-straight shutout – with just two walks. In the series wrap up, she struck out six and allowed one run in a five-inning complete game.
