RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the softball players of the week for the sixth week of the 2024 season. Harding’s Macy Ham and Oklahoma Baptist’s Morgan Max shared Player of the Week. Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Courtney Hill captured Pitcher of the Week.
#theGAC SOFTBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Macy Ham, OF, Harding, Jr., Arrington, Tennessee
Ham tormented Arkansas-Monticello from the lead-off position by collecting eight hits in 11 at bats in the Harding series sweep. In the opener, she went 1-for-3 with a stolen base. In game two, she tallied four singles and stole her second base of the series. In the finale, she collected three hits, a third stolen base, two runs scored and an RBI.

Max helped the Bison push their win streak to 10 as she hit .667 in a series sweep of Southeastern Oklahoma State. In game one, she went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. In the second game, she hit a pair of home runs – a third inning grand slam and a solo home run in the sixth inning. In the finale, she picked up two more hits.
#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Courtney Hill, LHP, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sr., Fort Gibson, Oklahoma
Hill made two appearances in the Bulldogs’ series victory against East Central. In the middle game of the set, she threw a five-hit shutout in an 8-0 win. In game three, she entered in the third inning and did not allow a run over the final five innings of the contest. Across the two outings, she stuck out 11 and walked only one.
