RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the softball players of the week for the third week of the 2024 season. Harding’s Emma Curry claimed Player of the Week while Arkansas Tech’s Alexis Findley and Oklahoma Baptist’s Kayleigh Jones shared Pitcher of the Week.

Curry helped the Lady Bisons pick up four wins at the Music City Invitational by going 9-for-16 across the five game games with three multi-hit performances. She drove in the lone run in a 1-0 win against Davenport. She hit two home runs – a three-run blast and an inside-the-park home run – against Ferris State. She doubled and tripled against Tiffin.
#theGAC SOFTBALL CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Alexis Findley, RHP, Arkansas Tech, Jr., Wardsville, MissouriFindley threw the 19th no-hitter in Arkansas Tech softball history when she defeated No. 11 Central Oklahoma on Friday. In her lone start of the weekend, she struck out two in her 5.0 innings of work inside the circle. The Golden Suns offense scored in all five innings as part of the 9-0 victory on the Bronchos’ home field, the Bronchos’ first run-rule loss at home since 2019.
#theGAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Kayleigh Jones, RHP, Oklahoma Baptist, Sr., Claremore, Oklahoma
Jones picked up two wins at the Raising Cane’s Softball Festival. She struck out 12 in a 3-2 win against Washburn on Friday. On Sunday, she set the school record for strikeouts in a game when she struck out 20 in the 1-0 nine-inning victory against Central Missouri. She gave up only one hit. She reached 800 career strikeouts during the weekend.
