Gunn also received the Elite Scholar Athlete award, presented by Conway Regional Health System as did her teammate Kelli Tindel, Ouachita Baptist’s Ava Dunagan, Abbey Moore and Ashlyn Vana, East Central’s Linea Lindemann Andersen and Brooklyn Meisner, Oklahoma Baptist’s Alanna Bloonmingdale and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Anna Bager. All nine all perfect 4.00 grade-point averages.
Gunn concluded the regular season tied for the GAC lead with six goals and 15 points. Morris matched Gunn with six goals, including two game winners. Adams scored three goals and tallied seven points as a freshman. Johnson led a Crimson Storm defense that paced the conference in shutouts, nine, and goals-against average, 0.71. Harris received his third GAC Coach of the Year award after guiding the Lady Bisons a spot in a four-team GAC Championship for the first time since 2019.
Gunn, Adams, Johnson and Morris added First All-GAC honors to their postseason accolades. Gunn, Morris and Ouachita Baptist’s Teagan Jaussi made the First Team by unanimous consent. Jaussi led the regular-season champion Tigers in both goals, five, and assists, five.
The Tigers’ Reese Brown and Southern Nazarene’s Bella Morgas made the First Team at forward. Brown finished fourth in the GAC in both goals, four, and points, 12. Morgas led the Crimson Storm with four goals and 11 points.
Harding’s Lauren Service and Oklahoma Baptist’s Lex Williamson joined Morris and Jaussi as the First Team midfielders. Service’s four assists rank third in the GAC. Williamson scored two goals, including the game winner in the final seconds against Ouachita Baptist.
Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Julie Andersen, Oklahoma Baptist’s Olivia Kenas and Ouachita Baptist’s Sophia Valencia captured First-Team honors as defenders. Andersen scored two penalty-kick goals and Kenas led the Bison in goals and points. Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Rachel Brown made the First Team as goalkeeper. She led the league in saves per game, 7.06, and finished the regular season second in save percentage, .845. Only .001 behind Southern Nazarene’s Gianna Bonnett.
A quartet from Harding headlined the All-GAC Second Team in Calle Citty, Kloey Fullerton, Skylar Henley and Maysa Willis. Oklahoma Baptist’s Chloe Monroe and Sam Sheffield, Ouachita Baptist’s Hattie Gardner and Allison Reece, Southern Nazarene’s Natalie Montanez and Sam Smith, Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Hannah Gutierrez and Ashlyn Stigall plus Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Taylor Songster earned Second-Team honors.
The Honorable Mention Team consisted of East Central’s Emily Cavazos, Paige Jones and Madison Mayhall; Harding’s Whitney Thomas and Regan Thompson; Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Lily Anderson and Tiara Campbell; Ouachita Baptist’s Abbey Moore and Carina Chavarria; Oklahoma Baptist’s Emma Teague, Southern Nazarene’s Bonnett and Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Terra Rybuck.
The GAC Academic Honor Roll featured a total of 52 student-athletes to have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, or higher, combined with at least one year of one-year of full-time college residency.
