It’s Good to Be Back

Gotta start with saying that this year has been a trial. The first 57 years of life, I tested the limits of the human body. I got obvious results. But for the last 15 years, I was given a better way to live. To sustain life , not burn it up. It’s taken a lot to teach a meathead like me. I am finally learning.

Learning acceptance of all around me. To give, as good as I have got. That God’s got it. I don’t have to be in control of all outcomes, just have faith. And acceptance guides us to faith, faith is believing.

So most days of the 18 weeks so far this year in the hospital, were spent being bored with clock watching, poking and prodding and testing, bad cable tv, purty good food, kind nurses and cnas and drs. I have some really good ones. But every day, lil’ by lil’, faith filled me with the acceptance for my every situation and to only pray for “Thy will be done”.  Just remember– God can make all things new – Even you!

That’s enough about my favorite subject- ME. How bout Music, Music, Music.

‘Til I gain control again, this one will be short and sweet. I need all bands to send, tag or text me their schedules. I used to see all your schedules but fb has updated and changed so many times that I don’t see everybody’s post. Help a brother out.

Live Music This Week- “Hillbilly Vegas”! This band is making their mark in the “Bisniss”. The new single, Let It Ride, is #13 on the charts in England and Europe and climbing. It’s crossing over on several genres and building a bigger fanbase. In the band’s words- “No tricks, no tracks…just good times and Rock n Roll. We land at #13 this week. This song is speaking to people and we love it! As the song says sometimes “it’s not about the money, it’s all about the love” We need more love in this world. If you haven’t already… hit the link and stream it. If you like it…share it”!

Here’s a chance to help the Panama Seniors, that were in the wreck recently, and their families with the cost of the hospitalization, recovery and travel. It’s expensive but LeFlore Co. always shows up and digs deep for these events. Trust me. Benefit Concert will be at the Panama Event Center on Sat.16th and starts at 5 pm. Donated music by some Razorback connections- “Live Wire ft. Felicia McKenzie”- Ben Whitaker-Landon Kole Bradley, Kodey Toney and family, Keenen Bradley and Kary Middleton.

Man, I Hit the nail on the head when I picked “South 49” as the best new band a year or so ago. Catch them when you can. They are getting lots of good exposure and lots of fans so watch here for their schedule.

“Rhythm Coalition” will be at JJ’s Bar and Grill on Sat. 16th from 7-10pm.

Muldrow City Limits will have “Back Roads” on Sat. 16th. Dance Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Society 3rd SUNDAY BLUES JAM coming up on November 17 at the Bakery District. Come join us for some blues. Help support our Blues Challenge Winners Connor Helm and the Truck Stop Poets! Starts at 7pm.

Well, that ain’t all I gotta say, but it’s a good place to stop. Thanks for asking for this schedule for local bands and venues. It is my pleasure and a real Joy. Contact me by text, fb or tj.wiles61@outlook.com.
