“Backslider’s Wine by definition is #1- fine wine that’s gone bad after someone didn’t screw the cap on tight enuf. #2- results of this writer gitting back on the sauce and drinking said bad wine anyway. #3- band from LeFlore Co. Oklahoma. Partly fact, partly fiction. My def. Of Backslider’s Wine is more relationship related. I call it“kickin’ the skunk”. It’s when I get sprayed by a polecat and the stink starts to settle, I give in to temptation and go back and kick the skunk. Not to be repeated. Once is enuf! “Backsliders Wine” will host a BW 2025 World Reunion Tour on Sunday July 27th at 2pm. It will be in the Shady Point Community Center, next to the fire station on Wiles St. I have called in favors and have commitments from all the musicians that played in the band. It started with three- Reggie Wells, Randy Smith and me in 2010. Played at the Coffee Cup for several years when it was the hub of Live Music in our area. Americana evolved into Country tunes and the rest is history. Still have 999 VIP Backstage passes available. They can be picked up at the door for free. If you bring a friend, ya get two more free passes. It includes pics with the band, green M&M’s, experience as a roadie and an hour of tuning and sound checkin’ before the concert. The venue seats 80 or so and I would get there right after church if’n I was you!
