Big crowd and many “plungers” braved the cold for the Poteau Polar Plunge Featured

Poteau OKLAHOMA - The Poteau Polar Plunge was held on March 2, 2019 at the Poteau Public Pool in Tywman Park.


Many came out to show their support and many came braving the 32-degree water temperature and plunged for a good cause - The Area 10 Special Olympics.


Awards were presented to the Youngest Plunger, the Oldest Plunger, Best Costume Top Fund-raiser Individual and Top Fund-raiser Group.

 

Twelve Teams took on the Polar Plunge Challenge.


Because of the support of area businesses and individuals over $10,000 was raised.


The money raised will help with Special Olympics.
